it looked likely to rain... contrary to the usually false weather forecast, as "spontaneous" as the local inhabitants...
Train was 20 minutes late LEAVING from B.P...
if I had a "Joan" I could have quipped "20 minutes late...rain on the line" (or more likely the preceding train driver got up late) ,,
arrived MK,.,, and it was raining "slab kische" ... wow regions looks so beautiful but this morning...what a dump...
as usual for "Monty" no footpaths, pavements , but plenty of puddles to avoid, if possible,.. some car drivers go around them & some go through, its like a wet obstacle course walking through the towns of "Monty" on a wet day!
the "Banka" was closed , a friendly local" supplemented our language "exchanges" with a gesture that said "finished" ..that branch is closed.. permanent! ...surprising for one of their largest banks...?
so as I asked the lady at the station about the next train, and got a SHRUG & shaking of her head, I checked on the next bus OUT! down or up, ...back to B.P. was in 4 hours, and I didn't recall seeing much that would keep me occupied for that long...went south to capital Pg, & of course there being no waiting room, at the bus station, the bus was.... TWENTY minutes late!
as the bus approached the capital city, I asked the driver to let me off, as happened many times before, and he had let people get on & off en route, but he refused, as we passed within 5 minutes walk of my destination...
luckilyI located a FAIR taxi driver (rare) outside the bus/ttrain station & he didnt know the place I wanted, so turned off his metre after TWO euros worth, I recalled the street & guided him there without too much trouble.. AnelREp & colleague were almost outnumbering the guests... (I warned him that his boss was wrong dumping the centre city location..but..locals dont like to be told by "outsiders" )
after a GOOD food meal of tasty curried chicken tortillas & vitamin packed "sok" (juice) i felt refreshed enough to walk back across Pg, to the old town & my favourite "Caffe BERLIN" (and an ice-ish welcome from the tuly beautiful Marija, who still doesnt know how to react to me!...Nebojse played "Strange" ,,i love the music tapes/discs he plays..& would love to dance with Marija to this...< https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_NN4Qu2FMaw > but on the way to "Berlin" left a rude message for 'Aris" at Hotel Bristol, as we <LIVERPOOL> of course, play his man utd sunday evening ! the biggest club match in world football... :) I haven't seen him since the corona BS!
